Oh where to start, there are so many wonderful moments and memories about this wedding. Perhaps finding a field full of the friendliest sheep or taking a helicopter to the New Zealand mountains looking for the perfect place to say “I do”, or after the ceremony landing in a lavender field at sunset (pure magic).
Our hearts were pumping with excitement during all these moments and we felt so lucky that we couldn’t even believe it was happening, it was all too perfect. These beautiful moments will be with us for a lifetime.
But I think what makes this wedding so special are the before and after moments. The skype dates with Carlie and Eddie in Macau, months before their elopement. Together we planned details to make their elopement personalized, such as colour scheme, flowers, invites, locations, etc. It felt so special that they trusted and included us in this process of one of the most important days of their life.
The following days, we traveled the New Zealand countryside together, partaking in MANY wine tours and delicious meals together. This couple, who were complete strangers living on the other side of the world, soon become fast friends. Carly and Eddie are both so thoughtful, generous, adventurous, and live life to the fullest… I know we’ll see again. It’s this quality time getting to know our couples, that makes us love elopements SO much!
