New York Engagement shoot
New York , USA

If you love NY city and cute café’s as much as I do… then you will love this next blog post!

I have to say it’s one of my favourites from last year. Probably because I just adored hanging out with these two in one of my favourite cities! We ate a lot of good food at a lot of cute restaurants (these two are foodies), had a lot of yummy cocktails, and walked some gorgeous streets together.

Alex proposed to Raji in NY and that is why they choose this city to do their engagement photos. I love doing destination engagement shoots with my couples because it gives me a chance to get to know them better….I like to think they are no longer clients, but now friends.

We brainstormed lots of ideas & locations for their shoot, in the end they wanted something that was meaningful to them. And that is what we did! We started at one of Raji’s favourite stores, a Parisian store called, Sezane (very cute). We then went to the restaurant where they celebrated their engagement the night Alex proposed, La Mercier, located in Roman & Williams Guild, in Soho. I highly recommend this place. It’s restaurant, meets interior design store, meets flower shop/café. It’s 100% my style...I knew I was excited about these two when they showed me this restaurant. We finished the shoot off at the bow bridge in Central Park, where Alex proposed. The next morning we did a sunrise shoot at the Brooklyn Bridge. I think they were purely indulging me on this one, as I’ve always wanted to there…but in the end it was some of their favourite photos. Moral of the story, sometimes it’s good to trust your photographer ;)

Just to give you a glimpse at the kind of amazing people these two are. In the post you will see a photo of a latte in a pretty gorgeous glass cup. Well, after our shoot, we went back to that stunning restaurant that I loved and they treated us to an amazing dinner. But it didn’t stop there. During dinner, Raji sneaked away and bought us two of those gorgeous glass cups with the adorable ceramic plate. Now every single morning I make a latte in these cups and I think of these two and how lucky I am to have some amazing people come into my life. It makes me feel like the world is a closer and lovelier place to be. It’s a good feeling to wake up to every morning. Thank you so much Raji & Alex.
