There was so much to love about Jessica & Phil’s wedding. First, of course, their stunning attire. That Berta dress literally took my breath away when I first saw it (and it still does). And Phil’s maroon suite with the cute detail of the one purple flower in Jessica’s bouquet to match it. While we are talking about flowers…OMG, I just adored the creative flowers at their ceremony and reception. Slow-clap to Filosophi and Our Little Flower Factory for transforming the Vancouver Convention Centre. It magically had this light and airy feeling of an outdoor garden party.
But all these beautiful things aside, what I loved most at their wedding were the speeches. All the speeches were either down right funny or so very touching. I love when people take this opportunity to express their love and thankfulness towards their friends and family. There’s no doubt that I had some tears in my eyes at this wedding. And last but not least, Phil’s surprise to Jessica of playing a song on a giant piano, straight out of the 80’s hit, BIG. Just typifies how fun and thoughtful these two are towards each other, which is so sweet to see.

I love it when we do a wedding, we usually end up doing weddings for all their bridesmaids and family. It's great because we get to see everyone again...it's like one big happy reunion. But I have to say, we've never done both twins weddings until this one. We did the first twin's wedding, Cristen, in sunny Mexico a few years ago, seen here. And this year we got to do, Courtney's wedding in tropical, Prince George. I mean in Prince George. Lol, I can't make too much fun of P.G., since that is actually where I was born!
Courtney and Blair had a super laid back camping wedding in the woods. It was all about laughs and lots of beer, good friends and family... that you could tell have spent many nights together with the previous ;) It was great to see all the familiar people from the first wedding. I even recognized a few from their same amazing dance moves at the previous wedding. Courtney, Blaire and their wedding party were so much fun to photograph...which should be evident by the million photos of them. Everyone was so easy going and I just loved the white on white bridesmaids look. Courtney and Blair made my job very easy, as you could see the love between them at all times.
Thanks again to Courtney for the surprise gifts in the car she loaned us while in Price George. So very thoughtful.
Matt & Nat love hiking and the outdoors, so a helicopter engagement shoot was a perfect idea for them. It always feels so special on these mountain tops, going to these little spots on earth that you know many people haven't seen. The silence and beauty gets me every time.
I had so much fun with these two. They are such lovely people and were up for anything...especially a good adventure.
Side note...if you are admiring just how beautiful Nat's last dress flows in the wind, it's a Truvelle dress! These dresses have the best dreamy movement, perfect for dancing, twirling...or hiking :)
This wedding was so much fun from beginning to end and really makes me love our couples. As you scroll through the photos you learn so much about these two. At first glance there is no denying, this is one good looking couple. But there is so much more... You see they are such lovely people who are easy to laugh and smile. So off course they had many friends and family fly across the world for their wedding.
Then comes their First Look. This might be one of my favourite first looks ever. They went back to back and read cards from each other. Both of them were in tears. This just shows the love they have for each other. *melt* The type of love everyone dreams of. Then to top everything off was the reception. This shows you just how much FUN these guys are. I didn't post half of the crazy party shots, but let's just say any bride that has a soul train dance off AND jumps into the pool when her stunning dress on, is great in my books.
Again, I always feel so blessed that my job makes me cross paths with such wonderful people from across the world that we would never know otherwise. Meeting these two was the greatest perk of my job, the fact that their wedding was in Thailand was just a bonus.
On that note, if you are ever having a wedding in Thailand, I can not recommend Wedding Bliss Thailand planners enough. They are so professional, sweet and can make anything you can imagine come to life!

I always love trying to do something with different with each couple that should who they really are. Chatting with Lauren, she told me that one way she shows her love is by cooking for Edgar. She then went on to say that their home is so important to them that this is where Edgar proposed to her. It soon became evident that a home engagement session would be perfect to capture their love. I came over to their home one Sunday morning and just documented their Sunday ritual: Coffee in bed, Lauren cooking, Edgar sitting across from her watching and sneaking bites and them curling up on the couch eating breakfast together. Adorable.

I love interior design, so when the talented Monkia Hibbs asked if I would shoot her baby girls nursery reveal, I basically got off the phone and ran right over! The room literally took my breath away, especially the flower wall paper! I not super girly, but I was in love with that perfectly pink girls room.

Ken and I always love destination weddings. It gives us a chance to shoot in beautiful new locations and we get to meet fabulous people from around the world, like Lynn and Matt. They pick an amazing venue for their wedding, The Naka, in Phuket, Thailand. I fell in love with the modern, minimal design and the fact that each room comes with an infinity pool was the icing on the cake!
Wedding Bliss Thailand (my fav group of girls who I highly recommend) planned their day and it was perfect from beginning to the end. Which ended with fireworks over the ocean just for them. How romantic is that!
Shout out to Jon who helped us shoot this wedding. I was 8 months pregnant and I wasn't sure how the Thailand heat would effect me so we brought someone with us. Turns out I was fine (I wasn't going to let a baby bump or 40 degrees weather slow me down ;) but it was lovely to have another traveller and talented photographer with us. It also meant we could order more dishes of Thai food ;)
It was a long wait, but we are so happy to finally be able to share this amazing wedding that is featured in Wedluxe Magazine on news stands now, with a 7 page spread!
Helia had a vision for her dream wedding and she pulled together a dream team to make it happen! If you love old-world glamour combined with romance and timeless elegance, you will love this wedding! Helia did not over look any details. From finding the perfect dress (after trying on 80!), delivering the most breathtaking invites, to adding original details like a LOVEBALL seating chart...oh and we can't forget that cake. There was literally over-the-top eye candy everywhere you looked. It was one wedding that no one would forget.
