Vancouver Wedding Blogs
You know when you meet some people and they are just good, solid people. That's Aliya and Karim, they're good people. I feel like if you ever needed anything, they would be right there to help you out. After having so much fun with them on their engagement shoots, I was really looking forward to their wedding. Also, because they are super sweet, Aly Armstrong was planning it and she is just the mostly lovely person. Aliya and Karim's wedding was somewhat unique in that they had both Indian and Persian ceremonies on the same day. Which I think can be a treat for some people to see what other cultures do. But one thing these two cultures have in common for weddings is dancing. Lots and lots of dancing! And no one danced more, or had the moves (or better eyebrows ;) than the groom, Karim. It was such a great night.
When you show up to a wedding and the girls have giant unicorn and flamingo floatiest poolside, you know it's going to be a fun wedding! You also know it's going to be a beautiful wedding when Weddingbliss is planning and I am Flowers is working their magic.
No wonder Novelty Bride published their wedding in their last issue. Everything was so beautiful, and Michelle was definiltey ahead of the trend with her flower bridesmaid dresses!
We are so excited for this year's weddings. So many great couples, so many breath-taking locations. This couple is definiltey one of the weddings we are looking most forward to. Nicole and Carson are the sweetest couple, so in love, and did I mention they are two of the most lovely down-to-earth people?
When Nicole told me her family has a collection of vintage cars (an amazing collection), I was ecstatic and knew exactly what to do for their engagement photos. We had so much fun photographing these two, it also didn't hurt that these two look like models...hello, someone sign these guys up.
I can't wait to see how Dream Group will transform Nicole's family property on the Wedding day. There is always something so special about home weddings! We love them!
We are all about living life to the fullest and turning our dreams (and others) into reality. Here is a little bit of that in action! Follow your dreams and get photos taken in one of these beautiful spots. They could be engagement, anniversary, birthday, elopement...just because! And an added treat, we will be traveling with Life Studios Inc http://lifestudiosinc.com/ that can turn your experience into a video so you'll remember every moment!

Sarah & Jade are two fun loving Aussies living in Whistler. They wanted a fun wedding that capture the beauty of this winter wonderland... and that's exactly what they got! They had a magical ceremony in the woods (it even started to snow), followed by an epic photoshoot. We climbed down hills, we climbed up hills, we snuck into areas we weren't suppose to be in, we fell into snow wells and scarred our legs...oh wait, that last one was just me. The day was just perfect, they even got a sunset!
There was so much to love about Jessica & Phil’s wedding. First, of course, their stunning attire. That Berta dress literally took my breath away when I first saw it (and it still does). And Phil’s maroon suite with the cute detail of the one purple flower in Jessica’s bouquet to match it. While we are talking about flowers…OMG, I just adored the creative flowers at their ceremony and reception. Slow-clap to Filosophi and Our Little Flower Factory for transforming the Vancouver Convention Centre. It magically had this light and airy feeling of an outdoor garden party.
But all these beautiful things aside, what I loved most at their wedding were the speeches. All the speeches were either down right funny or so very touching. I love when people take this opportunity to express their love and thankfulness towards their friends and family. There’s no doubt that I had some tears in my eyes at this wedding. And last but not least, Phil’s surprise to Jessica of playing a song on a giant piano, straight out of the 80’s hit, BIG. Just typifies how fun and thoughtful these two are towards each other, which is so sweet to see.

I love it when we do a wedding, we usually end up doing weddings for all their bridesmaids and family. It's great because we get to see everyone again...it's like one big happy reunion. But I have to say, we've never done both twins weddings until this one. We did the first twin's wedding, Cristen, in sunny Mexico a few years ago, seen here. And this year we got to do, Courtney's wedding in tropical, Prince George. I mean in Prince George. Lol, I can't make too much fun of P.G., since that is actually where I was born!
Courtney and Blair had a super laid back camping wedding in the woods. It was all about laughs and lots of beer, good friends and family... that you could tell have spent many nights together with the previous ;) It was great to see all the familiar people from the first wedding. I even recognized a few from their same amazing dance moves at the previous wedding. Courtney, Blaire and their wedding party were so much fun to photograph...which should be evident by the million photos of them. Everyone was so easy going and I just loved the white on white bridesmaids look. Courtney and Blair made my job very easy, as you could see the love between them at all times.
Thanks again to Courtney for the surprise gifts in the car she loaned us while in Price George. So very thoughtful.
Matt & Nat love hiking and the outdoors, so a helicopter engagement shoot was a perfect idea for them. It always feels so special on these mountain tops, going to these little spots on earth that you know many people haven't seen. The silence and beauty gets me every time.
I had so much fun with these two. They are such lovely people and were up for anything...especially a good adventure.
Side note...if you are admiring just how beautiful Nat's last dress flows in the wind, it's a Truvelle dress! These dresses have the best dreamy movement, perfect for dancing, twirling...or hiking :)
