Owner and pastry chef, Peter Fong, opened Ganache Pâtisserie in December of 2003 - the culmination of a dream to bring a little taste of Paris to Vancouver. Born and raised in Vancouver, Peter’s passion for baking followed him throughout high school and university where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Genetic Engineering from the University of British Columbia. After a backpacking trip through Europe and France, and experiencing the French passion for food and what the true art of pâtisserie could be, Peter decided to change careers, follow his heart and become a pastry chef.
Anna Elizabeth Cakes is owned and operated by pastry chef and artist Anna Wawzonek. After graduating from pastry school in Vancouver, Anna travelled across the country to explore her love of the art and design of cake, honing her skills with two of Canada's top cake artisans.
Upon returning to Vancouver, Anna opened Anna Elizabeth Cakes in 2011 and has had tremendous response from clients and industry professionals alike. Anna's keen eye for detail and unique design sense has garnered praise and features in both national and international publications.
At a very early age, Kien always had a passion for the arts and baking. She initially started off by baking delectable treats for friends and family. This lead to the opportunity to mix both mediums into a career and a cake designer.
As a cake designer, Kien is driven to create custom design cakes, cookies, cupcakes and other treats without ever compromising taste. As a result, every detail is created to reflect our clients vision in mind and is exclusively distinctive.
A European trained pastry chef & chocolatier, Thea (pronounced Tay-ah) has been creating dream cakes and delicious hand-made chocolates for over 15 years.
Thea, passionate about the art of fine pastry, will create a vision that reflects your style – contemporary, traditional, or anything in between. Thea works one on one with you to ensure that every cake is a unique creation, perfectly coordinated with the menu, theme, flowers, style and colour scheme of your celebration.
