It was such a joy to photograph these two in sunny Dominican Republic, their love and connection is undeniable.
Here is a sunny wedding from Dominican Republic to brighten those winter days. Alia and Nelson’s destination wedding was good times and sunshine from beginning to end. And let’s be honest, have you ever seen a more beautiful and happy bride than Alia. She has the best smile I’ve ever seen. Nelson, isn’t just a pretty face either, he handmade the wooden boxes for his groomsmen gifts. These two are just so lovely, thoughtful and just down right amazing people. It was such a treat to be part of their wedding day.
You must check out their day after shoot on the blog next!
I know weddings are a once in a lifetime experience, but some weddings, like Matt and Jo’s, you wish were an annual event. Set in the picturesque countryside of Spain in a villa dating back to the 11th century. They had 45 of their closest family and friends come together for a week to celebrate this event with them.
Leading up to the wedding everyone spent the days going to wineries and visiting near by towns and in the evening coming together to enjoying family style meals made with fresh produce and enjoy local wine by the pool. They were lucky enough to have a friend who was a top chef that made the most delicious meals!
When the wedding day arrived, it felt relax and calm but with a slight buzz in the air and as family and friends pitched in to get the villa ready for the big day. Jo’s mom hung butterfly’s in the bushes, the boys practice their song for the walk down the aisle (my favourite part), and Jo started to get all dolled up, by one of Vancouver’s best hair and make-up studio’s All Dolled Up!
The ceremony was perfect, filled with such heartfelt vows and I started to cry uncontrollable when the boys started to sing 'Hey Ho’ by the The Lumineers as Matt and Jo descended down the aisle. Paradise catering made the most visually beautiful and creative buffet spread I’ve ever seen. I had to force myself to stop taking pictures of it so people could eat. My second favourite part of their wedding was Matt and Jo’s first dance to a local 5 piece Jazz band as the sun was setting on the vineyards in the distance. It was too perfect. The party continued with everyone busting a move on the dance floor until the wee hour in the morning.
The next day, after a good sleep in, Matt and Jo got dressed up again and we got to do a second look. These are always the best because we have the time to go anywhere as we are not confined to the wedding day schedule. Jo changed her look to a stylish boho feel with her hair down. She looked stunning. As I clicked my last photo, it was bitter sweet, as I knew our time has come to an end. I could have not asked for a more easy-going, fun loving, super stylish or gorgeous couple to spend summer days with in Spain.

I love hearing peoples love story. And Carly and Eddie’s is a cute one.
They met at university on a team project where the other two students were always late, giving these two lots of time to talk and get to know each other. Finally one night Eddie asked Carly out on a date for cheesecake but when they got to the restaurant it was already closed. Eddie just so happened to have all the ingredients for cheesecake at his house, so he invited Carly over at 11pm to bake cheesecake. They stayed up all night making cheesecake, chatting and falling in love.
For their engagement, Eddie knew he wanted to surprise Carly again with a sweet picnic in the woods, incorporating this special dessert. Inspired by the colours of the season and with the help of Delovely Creative , the prettiest scene came to life. A lace teepee, berry-hued florals, and – of course – two adorable miniature cheesecakes for the win! While Eddie and Delovely Creative set up the picnic in the morning, Carly was pampered by Jayna Marie getting all dolled up!
We were delighted that this lovely engagement shoot was featured on Green Wedding Shoes
Sara was lucky enough to lived out many girls dreams...to have her engagement photos taken in PARIS!
It was an early start to beat the eager tourists, which was tough as Sara and Hunter just flew in the night before, so they were VERY jet legged. But it was a well worth it. To be able to have the streets of this magical all to yourself! A rememberable experience indeed!
I just finished designing this album and sending it to the printers right now! I can wait to have it in my hands and deliver it to Sara and Hunter.
I’m starting this year with one of my favourite engagements from last year, Janene and Ashton's. They had a super stylish engagement shoot planned by Victoria at Style Social Events. Inspired by Vogue, the concept was that they skipped the after party and opted for a table for two at a Parisian café.
These two are lovely as they are gorgeous and stylish. I could have photographed them all day. Can’t wait to show you photos from their 2-day wedding festivities!

In Vancouver you never know what type of weather you are going to get. But for Adela and Stephan the weather gods were in their favour and the day was PERFECT! These two are super easy-going and we had so much fun photographing them. Actually, I think Adela might have been a model in her past life. I also just adored their cozy fall outfits. Perfect for our westcoast seaside shoot.
We are so excited to see Helia and Andrian's engagement photos on Wedluxe. This was one epic engagement shoot, 3 looks in 1 day. It took an amazing team and fabulous couple to pull it off. Can't wait for their wedding next year!!! If this was their engagement, I can only imagine what they are going to do for their wedding!
