This was such an adventure. 4 hour ride to the waterfalls, 30min hike, everyone and all the equipment getting soaked, and racing the light to capture some photos at the rice fields. But going on adventures with great people is the best part of our job! Can't wait for Cindy & Quan's wedding this year, I have a feeling is going to be a lot of fun!
Elopements have to be the most romantic thing – EVER. Two people, running away to a beautiful place. They don’t need anyone or anything, just each other. They are also my favourite to photograph. Witnessing this special moment in a couple’s life and spending their first day together documenting their love. I always find the photos are so full of excitement and romance.
There is no denying the connection and love Susan and Eric have for each other. It’s infectious. They were so much fun to be with, I could have photographed them all day. Big shout out to Tanja for flying out from Germany to second shoot for me on this magical day. She was a rockstar.
Oh, where to begin. There was so much to love about this wedding...namely, all the love. Someone asked me recently what makes a good couple’s portrait and right away I thought of these two. Ignoring the fact that they are both ridiculously gorgeous. What makes me love these portraits so much is the love and connection you can see between Sasha & Chris.
Nothing was heavily staged, we just let them be them in the moment..…and we stood back and documented their love. Granted some people feel more comfortable with PDA that others, but I like to believe when you’ve found your true love, there is no hiding your feelings ;)
There are so many notable memories from this wedding. First, we took portraits where their first date was (cute idea). Second, how cold it was and how much Sasha was a rockstar for not complaining even though she had the least amount of clothing on! Did you see the photo of the leaf with frost on it? And we can’t forget how much of a party it was. Let me just say there were a lot of topless men on the dance floor at one point (sorry, I didn't post these photos).
My last favorite memory was a lesson I learned. It was past midnight and we were officially off and pretty tired from the long day. But I decided instead of sitting down and resting while Ken packed up our gear…I headed to the dance floor for just a few more photos. When I got there Sasha was dancing with her dad. I was so happy that I got to capture this moment for her. It was just a little extra work for me, but I got to preserve a memory for Sasha that will last a lifetime.
It’s no secret that I LOVE all the pretty dresses, shoes and décor at weddings. I get so excited about them and it’s not even my wedding! But what is most important and what makes me LOVE my job and keep putting in that extra effort is capturing these moments with family and friends. This is what is most precious (and priceless) about weddings.
We are so delighted this wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty!

Here is a little sneak peek of Batool & Justin's spring wedding! They got married at the Shangri-la and we did portraits at the Hycroft. The Hycroft is always a great place to take photos if there is rain in the forecast. It was raining during these photos and you can't even tell!
Claire and Ben had a gorgeous garden wedding at one of my favourite venues, the Hart House. Everything was perfect. The sun was shinning, the venue looked beautiful, the guests were none stop laughing and Claire looked breathless. This stunning wedding came together by Count Down Events. I especially loved the flower arch for their ceremony and olive twig on each plate, by Celsia Florist. I also adored Claire’s bridesmaids look. Their hair and make-up by All Dolled Up, was so soft and natural and their dresses were definitely wearable again.

Here is part 2 of Nadia and Ryan's epic engagement shoot. We had so much fun driving down the California coast line, chasing light, looking for the perfect place to shoot. Ken found this little spot and we all now endearingly call it, "Ken's Cove".
When Nadia asked if I would mind flying to California to shoot their engagement photos, I did not hesitate for a moment. The light there is so pretty! We decided to shoot at her favourite winery in Napa Valley, Castello di Amorosa, for sunrise. And since we were already at a winery...it would be silly not to try the wine after :)
But the fun did not stop there. The following day we were planning on shooting in Big Sur, however, weather didn't look good. So we all hopped back in the car after our wine tasting and drove to Big Sur for sunset photos!!!! These are gorgeous and will be on the blog tomorrow!!!
Oh how I love this couple so much. Janene is one of those girls who always looks effortlessly stylish and pretty. On top of that, she is as smart as she is sweet AND fun…yep, she is the total package. And she was lucky enough to find an amazing partner in Ashton that matches her in all these qualities.
I was excited about their wedding from day one. With Victoria from Stylish Social events planning it and Flower factory and Éclat Décor doing flowers and décor, I knew it was going to be gorgeous. And with two of my favourite stylist Jayna Marie and Collective You photobooth, drinks flowing and plenty of time for touching (and funny) speeches, mingling and dancing. Actually, they wanted so much quality time with guests…they didn’t even spend time doing their own portrait session AND they decided to make the wedding a two-day event!
Get ready for a long blog post!
