Such a perfect spontaneous elopement under the most perfect red tree. I just adored Winnie's bouquet from Celsia, and how it match the tree perfectly...all meant to be! I know these two are going to have a very fun-filled wedding in Bali!
These two are just too fabulous. They are so sweet, so in-love, so fun, so smart and clearly, so h.o.t....I could have photographed them all day...and well, that's exactly what we did! I can't wait for their wedding at the Fairmount Hotel Vancouver next year!
We had such a great time getting to know Stephanie & Fraser (and their family) over the year. These two are such down-to-earth and genuine people....and without a doubt meant for each other. We feel honoured to be part of their day. They had a beautiful sunny wedding at the UBC boathouse, filled with laughs, good food and more laughs and good food. I might have went into a food coma after the yummy made-to-order mac and cheese with all the toppings and the delish food truck cauliflower fries. Also their first look (at Fraser's grandpa's house) had to be one of the most beautiful first look locations we've shot at...even if it caused the groom and most of the wedding part to break out in hives, I think it was worth it!
Here are our exciting new TRAVEL DATES!
We just love shooting in other countries. Different backdrops keep us inspired! This year, we had so many people see where we are traveling to and meeting up with to do their engagement photos! Such a great idea and opportunity to get some unique photos and not have to pay the price to fly us over! We are always open to flying to near by countries while abroad, so if we're close to you just give us a shout and we might be able to swing it.
We also love meeting up with other wedding industry people for coffee, drinks and styled shoots!
We've been so busy that we haven't been posting much and I have SO many weddings that I love that I want to share with you!! Like Cristen & Jay's mexico wedding which is almost 2 years ago, yikes!! These two are so fabulous and it was such a wonderful wedding. They had close to 100 people come down for their big day in Mexico, that shows you right there how great these two are!
I'm so excited to be shooting her bridesmaid (and twin sister) wedding next summer!!

Some engagement shoots are so much fun, it just seems wrong to call this 'work'. This is what Karly & Todd's engagement sunset shoot was like. Full of laughs, beautiful weather and, well...more laughs. This two are so much fun to be with. Can't wait for their wedding...just around the corner!

We had such a lovely late afternoon walk through the park with these two. Chatting and laughing non-stop. The light and flowers were perfect. We even saw an owl! I can not wait for their wedding at the Brock House this summer!

Lately, a lot of people have been asking me what I think the next trend for wedding photography is. I'm predicting it's getting a photographer to capture a day in the couple's honeymoon.
This makes sense for SO MANY reasons. First, you are in one of the most gorgeous (and probably expensive splurge) places you will ever go. This is the place you WANT to get photos. You've saved for it, you've dreamed about it and you've spent countless hours researching on-line to find the perfect honeymoon holiday. An i-phone photo is not going to do justice. And when you get home, all you have are the pictures...and bills. Let's make sure the pictures are fantastic!
Second, the stress of the wedding is over. It's just about you two. Now you can relax, laugh and cuddle. Again, this is what makes excellent photos and memories that you want to remember. Walking through the streets hand-in-hand in Paris, at sea on the Mediterranean, driving through the rolling hills of Tuscany. The stuff dreams are made of.
Lastly, you still have your wedding workout body. Let's be honest about this...there is a good chance this is the best shape you will ever be in. I never wanted to buy into this idea. But 5 years after marriage, I can say I don't quite have the abs and arms I did on my wedding day. I figure, you worked hard for it, celebrate and remember it!
You have great LOCATION, great ENERGY, and LOOKING your BEST! It's the exact recipe for PERFECT PHOTOS and memories to last a lifetime.!
These two are getting married today and I couldn't be more excited! They are such a lovely and laid back couple.
Here is a sneak peek of their 'interactive guestbook"! I love this style of guestbook. It is so much more interesting that the old style with just a blank page. Because trust me, I go to a lot of weddings, and all you will get are a hundred comments of, "best wishes," "wishing you happily ever after," "congrats."
I've been to couples homes a year after their wedding and they still have this book on their coffee table. Their guests continue to add to it whenever they are over. The questions are interchangeable, so you can customize it to fit your style!
